Rightly relating to reality
Our Men’s Bible Study (aka MBS) had its regular weekly Zoom meeting this Thursday morning with a good turnout of faithful and mature believers in attendance. Today it was again my quarterly turn to share the message. As I go over the editorial comments of my advance reviewers in preparation for the publication of our final book in Course 2, entitled Heaven: Our Ultimate Destiny, I’ve been getting a good dose of reality. God’s plans are real, not speculative, and the only way we can understand rightly how to move forward in our lives is through seeking and receiving His input continuously. The presentation I gave to our MBS group lays out some of the difficulties and challenges that face us in our modern world.
The day before we met, I circulated a handout entitled “Who will take the son?” available for download here. We need to know with security where we are with respect of God and His Kingdom. Are we solidly in or dangling loose out there somewhere? My MBS presentation crowded my one-hour allotment and, as usual, stimulated some lively feedback and discussion.
